Hexham Cottages welcome you to “Jack of the Woods” and “Runrig”, two purpose built holiday cottages set in the grounds of a quaint historic Georgian farmhouse. You will find home from home comforts and stunning scenery amid acres of rolling Hexhamshire countryside. Create a world of holiday memories to treasure in this fabulous location, a place you will want to return to again and again. The cottages were constructed from local stone in 2009 with the best of insulation and solar hot water making for an environmentally friendly holiday.

Winter is finally here, and don’t we know it? But just because beach breaks are out, it doesn’t mean you can’t get away from it all. Come to Hexham and walk, cycle, canoe, look at nature, marvel at history or dine and sample the entertainment. Hiking around here is incredibly popular, and you can experience breathtaking scenery whatever the weather.

Why not visit the wonderful Christmas markets dotted around, and maybe pick up that elusive gift? All in the knowledge that you have a snug and comfortable cottage to return to after the day’s excitement.

Getting Around From Hexham Holiday Cottages

You can take advantage of local buses, trains and taxis to explore further afield and see places like Durham [the Land of the Prince Bishops], Corbridge [shopper’s paradise] and Newcastle [historic city].

Hadrian’s wall is just a short 20 minute drive.
Hexham town is 2 miles away.
Corbridge is 4 miles away.
The train journeys to Newcastle and Carlisle each take about 40 minutes.
There are buses daily from Hexham to and from Newcastle and the Metro Centre.
Durham is about 23 miles away and less than an hour by car, or just over an hour by train via Newcastle.
There is also a handy taxi service.
You get Free Parking in Hexham with a windscreen pass provided by us.
